Goodness Gracious Me

Goodness Gracious Me was a hit in the late 1990s as a clever television series that kept both British and Indian viewers in splits. Aired on BBC this sketch involved the lives of four Indians assimilating into British culture. I particularly liked one old lady who upon seeing anything would exclaim “I can make it at home for nothing! All I need is one little aubergine”.

Despite being a clever imitation of several Indian women who are known to be that way, I think the old lady had a valid point. It is actually possible to make most gastronomical-related things at home for nothing. Maybe not just with one little aubergine!

After five years (of just eating)- I try to relaunch my ‘food blog’ and chronicle the various food adventures I have had. Bon appetite!
